Onyx is my little miracle goat. She was on the brink of death a few weeks ago and I prayed so hard for her to be healed. She is so precious and I love her so much and I know she loves me. She was actually healed that same day that I prayed so hard, but she has been very weak and has needed a lot of extra care and attention. She couldn’t even stand up on her own. I’ve been giving her “ therapy” to help her re – learn how to walk, daily vitamin injections, minerals , etc., and she has slowly and steadily improved. This past week, she began to actually walk , but very slowly. I’ve had her isolated in her own stall so she could be safe and have a comfortable place to recover with her own food and water.
Today she was standing at her gate and pacing back and forth as if she was trying to let me know that she wanted to go out. So I opened the gate and she actually walked out and went towards the other goats who are her sisters and cousins. I was “prompted” to stand still and just watch , even though I was in a huge hurry . I was late feeding all of the goats, chickens , pigs, rabbit, and fish , late to go help my mom get to her doctor’s appointment, etc., but I watched in total amazement as this reunion unfolded. Goats have their own language amongst each other. From the outside , it just looked like they were butting each other, but it was much more than that. They were butting Onyx and she was butting them back . One goat was on her left, one was on her right , and one was in front of her . They all began to gently rub their heads softly against her as if giving her a hug! I could actually feel their love for each other. They missed her. She had been isolated for several weeks.
We can learn so much from animals if we will only really “ look” and really “listen”. They can teach us about love, kindness, and compassion. My heart swelled and tears came rolling down my face as I saw these little goats in this very poignant moment. Not only was she now completely healed , but she had been lovingly welcomed back to her herd. I could have so easily missed it if I had been focused on my very long “ To Do List” , “ mountains “ of repairs, chores, expectations, etc. which can become such overwhelming distractions . I was so humbled and thankful to have witnessed this . Watching this little goat walk again and see her reunion with her family and their love towards each other was a message to me . It was to remind me to “ listen to the promptings” so that I can see miracles and especially to remind me to not get so focused on my “ own stuff”. Life is so much more than my “ To Do List”. Miracles are all around us if we will only “ look and listen”. God is prompting and calling us to see them!

If we only knew who our Creator is and why HE created all and us in HIS IMAGE! “ It was to remind me to “ listen to the promptings” so that I can see miracles and especially to remind me to not get so focused on my “ own stuff”. Well done! GOD IS LOVE!
I have known you your entire life Kim. I have cherished you since I saw you for the first time, right after your birth. I have watched you grow and change and thrive and make well thought out life decisions. You have a discerning mind. But what has been the most fascinating is your evolution to follow the urgings of your heart, and more deeply, your soul. You are a blessing and a joy.
