I decided to go sit down at the beach next to a tide pool. This tide pool had some of the tiniest creatures like baby crabs, new baby clown fish ( like “Nemo” ) and even baby angel fish. I couldn’t help but notice a very small crab that was carrying his shell on his back. I could see his tiny crab legs sticking out from under his shell. It really seemed too big for him to carry, but somehow he found a way to get up and walk across the rocks and get back to the ocean. As I watched him do this I had a “prompting”. Sometimes it can feel like we are carrying the weight of the world but then sometimes we find a way to lighten our load through forgiveness, kindness, and even patience with others , and then suddenly the weight is lifted and we can see more clearly and life gets a little bit easier . That little crab was able to stand up with that heavy shell on his back and walk effortlessly across the rock and get back into the water where he was able to feel weightless, floating gently to the bottom where he could get a snack. I could have so easily missed seeing this and especially missed this quiet lesson that I know was meant for me, reminding me how to get back to that peaceful place that we all yearn for.

Nice
Love you my Kim that’s exactly how I’ve been feeling, struggling with this thing called “Life” but like that baby crab we need to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps continue this journey called “Life”
VERY well said! ❤️ you!
I love the idea of reaching the water and becoming “weightless”. I was wondering where my weightless place is. I used to have lots of “weightless” places. Not so many lately. I need to work on that. I did have a moment today. I took a long walk out on a pier and enjoyed the strong wind and the seagulls. It felt great. And yes, for about an hour I was weightless….just existing, enjoying the sun and the breeze…no hurrying, no expectations…no pressure. 🙂
Awesome article.
